Pantone Color Institute, which brings together all the world's colours and offers a wide colour catalogue to the design world, has announced the colour of 2022. For the first time this year, it aims to create a brand new colour tone instead of a colour selection. From the existing colour database, Very Peri (PANTONE 17-3938), created by blending the invariance of blue with the excitement of red, was announced to the design world as the year's colour.

In addition to being of great importance for the design world; Regarding the "Color of the Year" selections, which play a role in determining the trends in textile, fashion, home decoration, interior decoration and graphic design, 'It was very important for us to find a new colour. The PANTONE 17-3938 Very Peri selection brings a new perspective to the reliable and beloved blue colour family." In addition to being of great importance for the design world, Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute, said: "Finding a new colour was significant to us. PANTONE 17-3938 Very Peri selection brings a new perspective to the reliable and popular blue colour family." He also stated that they now look at the world from a different perspective and that creating a new colour for the first time in the history of the Pantone Color of the Year educational colour program also reflects the global innovation and transformation that has taken place.

After Pantone's statement, it is predicted that lavender tones, which have been frequently encountered in the fields of fashion, architecture, decoration, and textile, will come to the fore by 2022. When preferred in architectural projects, purple colour, which calms the living spaces, calms the soul, encourages creativity, carries elegance and luxury, and adds romantic lines, will be frequently preferred, especially in projects made throughout the year. PANTONE 17-3938 Very Peri, which is believed to positively affect the user with the right decorative items and material choices, is expected to reflect the spaces' vitality, happiness, and creative spirit.
