Magnificent Pool Designs
06/10/2023

Pools constitute one of the main elements that guide the design in architectural projects from the initial stage. Pools appear as an additional step for the design stage according to their types, sizes, depths, dimensions, locations, static structures, concrete structures used, mechanical installations, finishing materials, areas complementary to pools (such as walking area around the pool, showers, bathrooms, offices, restaurants and bars) in the projects in which they are located October. These areas, which are especially active in the summer season, respond as a spacious place for those who feel the heat.

Pool designs come in different shapes and sizes depending on the geography in which they are located and the characteristics of the structures used in them. In this article, you can find information about the magnificent pool designs that offer different visual feasts in the designs according to these separations.

Guangxi China Resources Tower (Nanning, China)

The biggest feature that distinguishes Gunagxi China Resources Tower located in Nanning, China from other skyscrapers is that it has the highest outdoor swimming pool in the world. This extraordinary pool is 71.1 feet above the ground. In this pool located at the corner point of the structure, you can enjoy the city view that stretches as far as possible.

Sky Pool at Embassy Gardens (London, England)

The bridge pool area at Sky Pool at Embassy Gardens

This pool, which is positioned between two volumes in London as if it were suspended in the air, offers an extraordinary experience to both its users and people who experience the structure from an outdoor flooring. The transparent base provides a unique viewing pleasure from the front by allowing you to read the swimmers in the pool and the movement of the water from the bottom of this pool. During the design phase of the building, Eckersley O'Callaghan and Hall Architects were used to bring this pool to life.

Marina Bay Sands (Singapur)

Marina Bay Sands

At the peak of Marina Bay Sands, there is a large and 500-meter-long pool that gives the feeling of a seaside stretched out as far as the sky. The view of the pool is quite dominant to the urban fabric where the structure is located, but it also offers a magnificent view of the city to the pool users.

Euphoria Retreat (Mystras, Greece)

Oval pool at Euphoria Retreat

It is possible to encounter unique pools in this facility, which is based on physical and spiritual regeneration. Located in Mystras, Greece, this structure aims to combine different healing philosophies and collect scientific outputs from different civilizations -especially Greek and Chinese - under the roof of Euphoria Methodos in this natural environment. There is a spherical pool constructed together with the landscape of the building community. The users of this spherical pool hear dolphin sounds by helping them relax when they dive below the surface, and this pool experience contributes to the health perspective served by the building community.

The Joule (Dallas, Texas)

The Joule

The Joule is a boutique hotel renovated from a 1920s bank building in downtown Dallas. In addition to this historical texture, today it has taken a more remarkable attitude with the pocketed pool area springing from the upper floor. This pool area, which hangs over the main mass, strengthens the relationship of pool users with the height they are at by using a transparent material on the facade-facing side.

Hanging Gardens of Bali (Ubud, Bali)

Infinity pools at Hanging Gardens

Hanging Gardens of Bali is a resort consisting of luxury villas with their own private infinity pools. The pool that attracts the most interest in the whole area is the pool that appears in the photo with the type of infinity pool structure with steps. The juxtaposition of green and water texture plays a role that strengthens the relationship of this design with nature. Thanks to this pool, the building has been awarded the world's best swimming pool award by Condé Nast Traveler.

Market Square Tower (Houston, Texas)

Market Square Tower

Market Square Tower has a private glass-bottomed pool. The pool, which meets with a transparent form towards the facade, offers a unique view of Houston with its floor and glass sides. The transparent-based section overflows outward from the direction of the facade and emphasizes this pool.

Pool designs add a strong quality to the building designs they are included in. As can be seen from the examples above, some of these different pool designs play a remarkable role in the perception of the facade created by the direct structure, while some designs play a remarkable role in the sense of specialized design for the floor they are located on.
